Burst pipe. Leak. Flooding. Whatever the situation, call or WhatsApp us now and we will get to you as fast as we can.
Do this right now
Stay calm. Follow these steps in order and you can limit damage significantly before we get there.
Your main stopcock is usually under the kitchen sink or where the water supply enters the house. Turn it clockwise to shut off the water. This is the single most important thing you can do to stop the situation getting worse.
Call 07768 618940 or WhatsApp us and tell us your location and what has happened. We will advise on anything else you can do while we are on the way.
If the leak is near your boiler or heating system, switch it off at the isolator switch or programmer. Do not touch any electrical switches if there is water near them.
Move furniture, electronics, rugs and valuables away from the water. Place towels and buckets to contain the spread. The less water gets into floorboards and walls, the lower the damage bill.
Once you are safe, photograph everything before we start work. Your insurer will need this evidence. Most home insurance policies cover plumbing emergencies, so report it straight away.
Transparent pricing
No hidden costs. No surprises. You will always be told the fee before we attend.
What we attend
If it is causing damage, making the property unusable, or cannot safely wait until the next working day, it is an emergency. Here are the most common situations we attend:
A pipe that has split or burst can flood a property in minutes. Turn off the water and call us straight away.
If all taps have stopped completely and it is not a mains issue, there is likely a serious fault that needs urgent attention.
A toilet that is backing up or overflowing is a health hazard and needs sorting immediately, especially in a single-bathroom property.
Washing machines and dishwashers can fail unexpectedly and cause rapid flooding. Switch off the appliance and call us.
Particularly for vulnerable residents or families with young children, loss of hot water in cold weather is a genuine emergency.
If water is coming through a ceiling, wall or floor and you cannot find or shut off the source, we need to attend as quickly as possible.
A severely blocked drain that causes waste to back up into the property is urgent, both for hygiene and structural reasons.
Frozen pipes that have split need immediate attention before they thaw and release a large volume of water at once.
Not sure if your situation counts? Call us anyway. We would rather you call and find out it can wait than leave it and cause more damage.
